The Sex Shop of the year awards are voted by you the public to descide which is the best online sex shop of 2006. The sex shops are divided up into 11 categories Adult Magazines, Adult Novelties, BDSM, Books, Condoms, DVDs &: Videos, Lingerie, Penis Enhancement, Sex Enhancing Drugs, SexToys, and Good All Round Sex Shop. The public we able to select and vote for their favourite from each category.

What were your first thoughts upon winning the awards?
Fantastic! We have worked really hard since we opened to market the site and having so many customers and visitors who have voted for us from the UK, Europe & USA their votes have really counted and they have been really supportive. We hope it shows that we are doing things right and giving our customers what they want.
Why do you think that the public votes for your shop, what makes you stand out from other retailers?
Simply that we are great value for money and you can always find something you want in our store and we are a proper adult online store that offers more than just adult goods! Our customer service that we offer is next to none! We offer so much to our customers it would take the whole page to go into detail, but our main offers range from Free Delivery, Free Batteries, Free Gifts, 10% OFF orders for all members, loyalty rewards, competitions, stories, advice, tips, reviews and loads more. Also being an online retailer our website is our selling point so we try to make it easy to navigate, attractive on the eye with as much information that we can to help customers make good choices.
Do you have any other comments?
Just to say thanks to all our customers for their support over the past year. It has been a very successful year for us thanks to them and we hope it continues onwards and upwards! Winning the award will really help to confirm our position as one of the best UK adult stores on the web.

What were your first thoughts upon winning the awards?
To start with we was very happy that we have won an award for our hard work and commitment to our customers. Back in April 2005, myself and my partner Claire started out with very little knowledge of running a business and about the sex industry, but with our hard work and dedication, we managed to redesign our first site to the current one we have and in a couple of weeks or so we will have a brand new site and a bigger range of products. We are very proud of our accomplishments over the past 18 months and we thank the customers that voted for us, with out them this wouldn't be possible.
Why do you think that the public votes for your shop, what makes you stand out from other retailers?
To be honest, every retailer are in the same boat as everyone else. I suppose we do things slightly different. Obviously we make sure that our prices are competitive and offer the best service possible. We do offer (if in the local area) a free delivery service from ourselves personally to save on postage costs, basically if we have the items available in our stock, we will pack and deliver ourselves. If the items aren't available we will dispatch them from suppliers.
We also trying to interact with our customers more. We do offer customers to add and chat to myself or claire via MSN whilst they are browsing on the website. We have had a few customers that have added us to their lists and help them with their queiries. This help them get a quick stock update and guidence on item descriptions and sizes etc. We are looking in to adding a module which enables customers to chat via the website rather than through MSN and other chat programs.
What would you like to say to all the people who voted for you?
Myself and my partner Claire would like to thank everyone that voted for us in the awards. It shows that our hard work and dedication is starting to pay off and we are moving in the right direction. This award is not just for us, its also for the customers that enjoyed our services and the experience of XXX Fetish Clothing.

I felt very proud that Big Boy Condoms had been voted the best Condom store by so many members of the public.
Why do you think that the public votes for your shop, what makes you stand out from other retailers?
Perhaps it is because we specialise only in condoms and lubes and so people know that they can trust the products we offer. If we dont have complete confidence in a product, we dont sell it!
Do you have any other comments?
We have been in the business for over 7 years and this is the first award we have ever won. There's a lot of competition out there and the customers opinion is what really counts.
What would you like to say to all the people who voted for you?
