What was your first impression of the item sent to you? - the look and feel of it and your assumptions of how it was going to perform?
The product was packaged in a rather cheap looking box which featured a silver pvc clad woman, nipples erect ready to go. When will manufacturers get the message that not all vibrators are bought by tittering 18 year old lads as souvenirs from their trip to Amsterdam? The box had a lifesize picture of the vibe on it and proclaimed it to be ribbed, rapturous and reliable. That sounded promising though! The packaging advised me not to heat it up by putting it in the microwave or conventional oven. Ouch!, It said it came with its own personal travel/storage gag. On opening the box this turned out to be a normal plastic bag! Times are bad! The vibe itself was vertically ribbed and the usual shape. The sleeve however was horozontally ribbed and had a G-spot tip, which was a horn shaped extension. It was bright pink and for something that proclaimed itself to be ultra realistic, looked very sore indeed. If this was designed in someones image then they need more than a shot of penicillin.
What was the item like in action?
Well, I was all set to give it a go until I realised that it took C batteries. Very unusual in my experience and I had none in the house. My partner had to do it himself!!!! After a trip to the shops however, we gave it a whirl. My god but it was noisy! It sounded like it was revving up for the TT races! Disceet? I think not! Considering the row it made, the vibrations themselves were not hugely impressive, I wouldnt have said they were multispeed, They just went from loud to very loud. The jelly Gspot tip didnt manage to vibrate much at all. It also needed an inordinate amount of lube. Perhaps it was me, perhaps I was in fear of the noise abatement society hammering on the door and had gone all dry. We did persevere but time got the better of us and my partner ended up putting the sleeve on himself to see if that would hit the G spot. This too was not the best sex we had ever had as it was that thick that it felt like a condom from the nineteenth century, I think they were made out of pigs bladders.

Not in the least. There was a lot wrong with it, the packaging, the colour, the actual shape of the jelly blob on the end of it which just looked like some terrible sore and the noise. In action it was a waste of time and effort. The main problem with it was the fact that the jelly tip did not vebrate much at all so the effect it was trying to achieve was lost. It was just a vibe with a bit of spare jely stuck on the end of it.
What reaction did the item acheive - personally to you or with other parties?
My partner thought it looked like something that might be made in a sweet factory and was not convinced it would do the trick. He was right. When he used it on me he also found it difficult to hold. Aside from the pink colour of the sleeve I was also put off by the colour of the vibe. It was creamy coloured and looked like something that was made from left over plastic from a medical needs factory.i

If they are going to advertise that it comes in a bag, then one should be in the box. Trading standards?! There are a lot of vibes on the market and although I have ot tried them all (!!!!!!) I would imagine that most of them are better than this. Hard throb? Hard luck!
How could this item be improved upon?
It has so many things wrong with it I hardly know where to start but it needs redesigning so the tip vibrates. Different batteries would be good too. It weighs a ton with Cs in. Back to the drawing board guys! And keep the noise down!

The first thing that i thought was that it looked a bit cheep. There wasn't any detail to it really and it was like a long peice of moulded plastic with a bit of rubber over the top. The packaging was not very exciting and did not make me want open it straight away. The box was all crumpled and the vibrator was not wrapped very well inside.
What was the item like in action?
when we used it for the first time if you turned the vibrator up to the maximum it was quite intense and very loud but after about five minutes it stopped working all of a sudden. My partner opened it up and the solder connecting the battery to the vibrator had broken off. My partner did eventually fix it a few days later and we tried it again. It was very noisy, you wouldnt be able to use it if there was anybody else in the house because they would definitley hear it. It felt very strange to hold but if you do use it it's not to bad, apart from the noise. There was no clitoral stimulation which might have made the product better. I personally thought that this vibrator was too noisy and due to it breaking first time was a bit disappointing.
Did the item make you feel sexy?
The items look was not very sexy at all. I had to use it before it turned me on and only then it was the vibrations that got me in the mood and the help of my partner.
It did make me feel more confident although because the vibrations were quite intense i didn't really fancy sex after climaxing using it.

Before this i hadn't really tried any other vibrators and it has opened up more avenues in my sex life. We are still using this product although that will only be till we find a different one that we like more. I don't think that this toy met my expectations as it did break on us the first time we used it and we were not expecting that.

The iten could do with a bit more work on its appearance and the packaging. I would also improve upon the motor inside to make sure that this does not break on anyone else as this was very dissappointing. I think the product was the right size, but it was very noisy and not very intimate.

I personally would not recommend this item to a friend due to the noise and the appearance and the fact that it is not very reliable.

I was really looking forward to receiving my first item to test so was a little disappointed when the Hard Throb arrived. It looked cheap, like something you'd get out a vending machine.

Ok, firstly i had to get batteries so had to put off playing with my new toy, til i could get to the shops.
