Tasmanian-Devil Vibe - Jun 2004
Pleasure-toyz.com sponsored us with some Tasmanian-Devil Vibes. A curious name for a vibrator you may think - were they made in Tasmania? or do the spin like the Tasmanian Devil cartoon character? Or maybe they are just crap and end up rolling round in the bedside table drawer gathering dust until the look fury like a tazmanian devil? Our testers will answer these questions

What was your first impression of the item sent to you? - the look and feel of it and your assumptions of how it was going to perform?
Good, portable sized. It did however have a distinctly cheap plastic colour and feel. It didn't look like it would be comfortable to hold, as there was nowhere to conveniently grip it.

I thought it may be a good, portable basic vibrator.

What was the item like in action?
Only one speed, but the speed was adequate. It would not stand up to more complicated/advanced models, but was adequate for the purpose. May be more useful for assisting stimulation then creating a full orgasm-ic experience.

Did the item make you feel sexy?
To some extent, although I have seen items better made.

What reaction did the item acheive - personally to you or with other parties?
A friend, female, saw it when it was still packaged and remarked at the cheap plastic look of it. It was alright, and a nice, basic item, but not necessarily something I would buy unless it was affordable.

Any other comments?
My first impression of the TAsmanian Devil was that it was of theat really cheap brittle plastic that tends to shatter if dropped onto hard surfaces.Watch out for that if you have a loft bed and sanded floors rather than carpets!

Its very basic -ONe from the No Frills range of sex toys, and perhaps fewer thrisll because of it. The type of plastic meaans that it is not so tactile as other vibes on the market. It does work though. There is a single speeed but the speed is a good one and not annoying. The problem though is that the handle vibrates more than the other end, which can leave you with that condition known as 'white finger' that treesurgeons and road diggers get after over exposure to vibrating machinery. The handle end does have a rim around it though so used the other way around it can have other applications, although i'd advise making usre ther eis a condom over the toy to prevent moisture leaking in through the on/off switch. The on/of switch is flimsy and can slip on/off quite easily too- another reason to use a condom with the toy as this protect is to some degree.

The size is appropriate and practical - something to bear in mind if you haven't bought a vibe before and are getting excited looking at the 'giant yam' kind of novelty vbirators which will end up abandoned in a drawer or guarnateed to bring you out in herpes everyt time does to skin trauma. With vibrators its generally good not to be over ambitious, however with the Tasmanian Devil i get the feeling that the manufacturers shoudl have tried just that little bit harder and delivered a product with a more quality feel and a longer projected life, but then perhaps this betrays the fact that their ambitions lie in profit rather than customer satisfaction?

How could this item be improved upon?
Better quality look and feel. Possibly 2 speed settings. A bit longer.

Would you recomend this item to a friend?
Probably not, I think there are better items on the market.

Do you have any hot tips for useage with this item?
No

How would you rate this item out of 5?2
