On Friday the 5th of October we set off early to go to the first ever Adults Only Show at the NIA Birmingham. I was wearing my SexToyTesters T-shirt so that every one would recognise the Sex Toy Testers presence at the show. Of course we were very interested in a new sex toys and adults only show and for a brand new show we thought that it had got a rather good turn out with visitors waiting outside for the show to open. We found the venue very convenient and easy to get to, with a car park right next door. We waited with eager anticipation outside in the sunshine waiting for the doors to open so that we could receive our Adults Only Wristbands. Once inside we went around the stalls chatting to old friends old and new. The hall looked like a huge indoor market with vibrators and dildos of all shapes and sizes as opposed to apples and bananas. But it wasn't just sex toys at the show, there was also lingerie, lubricants, bondage gear, DVD's, video streaming, Ben Dover, erotic jewellery, art, Adult holidays, adult magazines and the Sport Newspaper and much much, more. We chatted to the boys at Top Cat Toys, who were looking forward to a fun show. They had a lot of their products out of the packaging for testing, so that, visitors could pick up and feel the vibrations. Top Cat Toys wanted to remind us about their fantastic 'Design a Sex Toy Competition'. The lovely lady at the Fun Fashions stall was modelling a stunning corset from her range. I did have a browse through the rails and there are some very sexy numbers which are available in plus sizes. She was adamant that larger ladies should be better catered for and shouldn't accept second-best just because that's the only thing that fits. She also had some very interesting PVC sex toys, which aroused my interest. The team at Adult World were also having a good time and were in high spirits. They were keen to support the first ever Adults Only Show being Birmingham based, as well as having stores in London, Oxford, Stoke-on-Trent, and Rhyl. Trying to take over the Adult World by the look of it, or the UK at least. They said how they were going to be sending us more products for testing in the coming weeks. They also have a saucy 25% off deal if you order from their 2007 catalogue. Ann Span the first female porn director was there and we introduced ourselves to her. We have arranged to interview her, and you will be able to read the story of how she became to be the first woman porn director at Sex Toy Testers, we are really looking forward to working more closely with her. The guys at Ben Dover were promoting their HardWear range of Ben Dover merchandise with clothing for both men and women, some of which they donated as prizes to the SexToyTesters Winter Warmer Competition. Ben Dover himself was there, having his photo taken with one of his sexy co-starring girls and a visitor to the show. You see you get to rub shoulders with the rich and famous, and downright saucy. Rummaging through the rails I found and tried on a beautiful corset in a burgundy velvet, trimmed with fake fur at the Fairy Goth Mother stall. They also featured some of their stunning items in a fashion show in the stage. Whilst chatting to the guys at FlirtyorDirty we opened up a discussion about which were the sexiest outfits they had displayed. I chose the black playsuit LouLou Body, with embroidered red roses, which they said was one of their best sellers, I can see why, it's certainly sexy and the red roses give it a romantic feel, definately an item you could get flirty or indeed dirty in. We had a chat with Horny Bliss a new, up and coming saucy online store who stock not only sex toys but also lingerie, DVD's, magazines. This was the only stall we saw selling erotic novels. Great for the erotic novel fans who like to cuddle up in bed with a seductive story after a hard day. This stall did have a great product selection and a fantastic money off coupon. We were interested in the erotic fetish items at JDL for Leather. They have not only leather clothing such as shirts and skirts but also a variety of kinky bondage gear such as harnesses, collars and restraints as you might expect. The stand smelt wonderfully of leather, and it was great to be able to touch the clothing and to feel the quality and softness of the leather. Liberty Elite were at the show promoting their swingers and fetish club based in the midlands, which is convenient for every one to get to with great transport connections. They are also able to provide over night accommodation, handy if you're all shagged out after visiting them. Our old friends Monkey Spanker were featuring at the show. The Monkey spanker is now available in Black and White and plain Black. The Monkey spanker 'one size fits all' is a male vibrator for spanking your monkey, however the Monkey Spanker couldn't accommodate the Rodeo Penis, a giant phallic bucking bronco ride opposite their stand. The Scarlet magazine were at the show selling their latest magazine as well as back copies for an amazing price of just £1. A real bargain for a saucy glossy magazine packed with sexy photos of naked men, fashion and lingerie features, true confessions, and erotic literature. We were given a stash of freebies from SexToys.co.uk in the form of a catalogue and promotional goodies, shame it wasn't a vibrator advertising their website, but it would be pretty hard to read in use. We talked to SexQube.TV an exciting new television for adults. They boast of being the first fully interactive broadband TV channel for adults. It's free to view and you can also rent hardcore movies to watch at your leisure as well as being able to shop whilst you watch. They told us of their exciting plans and we expect you'll be seeing and hearing a lot more of them in the very near future. The other important media presence at the show was the Sport and the Sunday Sport. The sexy sport girls were handing out the shows goodie bags which were filled with information and promotions as well as the Adult Only Show – Show Guide. There was also a photo opportunity for visitors to have their photo taken with the bubbly and bouncy sport girls, and for the photographic image to be printed on a mock front page of the Sport newspaper, a delightful memento of the day. The Smooth Shave stand was an important stall for anyone who cherishes silky smooth, hair free, rash and chicken skin free skin; with no risks of nicks or cuts or ingrown hairs from a personal shaver with a revolutionised system that makes this the best personal wet or dry shave. At Tabooboo I fell in-love with a pair of silver wrist cuffs. They were so soft and you could see and feel the quality. They also looked particularly good on, so much so I could see they would look fantastic as fashion accessories for a night out on the tiles. The Tingle Tip guys were there with their electric toothbrush head attachment previously reviewed at Sex Toy Testers. We had a chat with them and they showed us a recent review of the Tingle Tip published in the Cosmopolitan featuring 'Space Aged Sex Toys' where the Tingle Tip came out on top with a whopping 9 out of 10. We had fun at the ElectraStim stand where they had a bit of kit out to give personal demonstrations to the visitors so that people could find out about the ElectraStim range and the buzz you can get from it. They assured us that they would keep SexToyTesters up to date with new lines in the ElectraStim range that will be posted on the New Products page of the STT website. Join the mailing list to be kept updated about new products coming on to the market. BodySculpture were also giving hands-on demonstrations of the body casting artwork that they make. Ken Clarke was taking a cast of a girl's breast, taking a mould directly from the body, the shape and all the details and expressions that make each person unique are captured. Preserving the body in three dimensions. Fascinating demonstrations to watch, and the examples of the end results are beautifully breathtaking. We briefly visited the Tricky Dicky's stand where there were lots of sexy posters of the Male strippers in erotic poses, Phwooor! Tricky Dicky's is the UK's hottest male strippers club with top international drag queens, their glittering club is in Birmingham. With a very sexy troop of male strippers, each and every one of which, every girl would like to take home. Of course we would love to be able to send some of our Sex Toy Testers to the venue to 'test' and review a night out at Tricky Dicky's. Although I'm not sure we would get much sense out of them once they had been sexually teased out of their minds by the performing hunks doing the full Monty and waving their schlongs in the testers faces. The Cupids Couch team wasn't resting on their cupid's couches, great inflatable furniture for kinkier sex. They were telling us about how the Cupid's Couch has taken off, obviously lots of you are enjoying using this kinky furniture to spice up your love making and discovering new sexual positions. Visitors were invited to sit, kneel and recline of the inflatable couch and to feel the stability of the design and to imagine the fun they could have on a sex toy of this kind. We are hopping to publish an article about the designs on STT in a few weeks along with photos of some of the bespoke pieces that have been manufactured. The Bizarre Bazaar were at the show to raise awareness. Every month they have over 30 fetish vendors that sell sexy clothing including PVC, TV, AB, BDSM as well as sex toys. It's a great place to visit what ever your fetish, have some fun, buy new goodies and socialise in a friendly environment and catch a demo or workshop. We also came home with a collection of sample Porn DVD's from Nice'N'Naughty, and CombatZone which will be reviewed at leisure. These freebies were handed out to all visitors passing by, did you get your free sample porno? In amongst the networking we did manage to take in some of the Adults Only Show live staged events including fashion shows of lingerie, kinky footwear, corsets and leather. There was also some pole dancing and erotic dancing tuition with the exotic dancers from Eric Pryde and the hunks from Tricky Dicky's. Ben Dover and Anna Span also gave talks and fabulous prizes were won in the saucy live game shows. A great live show with lots of eye candy for both the boys and girls. The fashion shows were particularly great be able to see the clothing in action, so to speak and then being able to go to the stands to buy your favourite outfits.
